Carlow’s Local Enterprise Office (LEO) wants to help small businesses to grow their online presence as part of the Government’s National Digital Strategy. They’ve announced that they have adjusted the Trading Online Voucher Scheme which will help businesses to reach new markets and increase sales.
They have widened the eligibility, extended it to all sectors up to 50 employees, modernised eligible expenditure and doubled the grant to €5,000! This gives more Irish businesses the chance to grow their online presence. It offers financial assistance along with training and advice to help your business trade online. Businesses that have already received a Trading Online Voucher can now apply for a second voucher, where upgrades are required.
Businesses that are given the grant can take the opportunity to build a new website, expand their current website, invest in online marketing, and improve their SEO (search engine optimisation). The complete guide on eligibility criteria can be found here. We’d encourage businesses to apply as an online presence can really benefit brand awareness and sales. It’s a great tool that is essential in the modern world, so don’t get left behind and grow your business online.
