Info Registry Accepting Proposals For 1 and 2 Character Names

Afilias, who run the .info registry, have announced that they are now accepting proposals for the allocation of 1 and 2 character .info domain names.

It’s not an auction or any other kind of sale. You have to show the registry that your planned use of the domain name(s) will “enhance the .info brand”.

Of course it’s not free either, so if you’re interested you will have to submit a $1000 non-refundable application fee with your proposal.

The deadline for applications is April 30 2011.

More information on the process, as well as the application form may be found on the Afilias site.
