Next week I’ll be heading to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for Domaining Americas. It’s the first time the event is being held, but hopefully it won’t be the last.
I’ll be speaking on a couple of topics:
- ICANN – there’ll be a panel featuring myself, Daniel Fink from ICANN’s Latin American team and Olga Cavalli, who is very heavily involved in all things internet and domain related across Latin America
- GDPR – one of my “favourite” topics! Seriously though .. I’ll be talking about what GDPR is and how it impacts domain name investors and what kind of strategies they can adopt.
Other speakers at the event, which runs over two days, will include Jeff Sass from the .club domain registry, Brad Lemire from Sedo, Braden Pollock, Rubens Kuhl from the .br ccTLD registry and several other people.
It looks like it could be a very interesting event, as it’ll cover a very broad range of domain and internet related topics but with a Latin American slant. The bulk of events are usually very much focussed on either the US or Europe, so this will be a refreshing change.
