Blacknight is sponsoring the upcoming Guaranteed Irish Technology Forum in Dublin as it celebrates 50 years. It will be an exciting event that will bring together tech industry experts to discuss unconventional paths within the tech sector in Ireland. It will be a great opportunity for networking, learning, and sharing insights on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Irish tech industry.

This special event is dedicated to women in the tech industry in Ireland. The panellists are not from a technical background but women in leadership positions at some of Ireland’s biggest tech companies and employers. We loved the idea of being involved in an event like this, as it promotes women in the tech industry and those who work within the IT space but not from a technical background.

The event will start at 10:00 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Davy Group in Dublin, with registration, where attendees will get to mingle over tea, coffee, and light breakfast.

At 10:30, Brid O’Connell, the CEO of Guaranteed Irish, will give a warm welcome to all the attendees. She will emphasise the importance of supporting Irish businesses and the role that Guaranteed Irish plays in promoting and driving the growth of the Irish economy.

Following Brid’s introduction, the panellists will be introduced, and the discussion will begin. Ann O’Dea, CEO of Silicon Republic, will moderate the panel. The panel will consist of three accomplished women who will share their experiences in the tech industry and the unconventional paths they took to get there.

The first panellist will be Chloe Murray, Head of Marketing and Events here at Blacknight. Chloe will share her story of how she joined Blacknight and grew in her marketing role. She will speak about the challenges she faced along the way and how she overcame them.

The next panellist will be Susan Moss, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations at TikTok. Susan will speak about the importance of public policy and how it shapes the tech industry.

The final panellist will be Gina Laverty, CFO of Viatel Technology Group. Gina will share her experience of working in finance in the tech industry and how she navigated the challenges of managing finances in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

The panel discussion will last for about an hour, and it will be followed by a Q&A session where attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panellists questions. Following this, Brid O’Connell will give her closing remarks. The event will end with networking over tea and coffee, where attendees will get to connect with each other and share their thoughts on the panel discussion.

The Guaranteed Irish Technology Forum will be a fantastic event that will bring together industry experts to discuss unconventional paths within the tech sector. Blacknight is proud to sponsor this event and play a role in the strengthening of women in tech in Ireland. The event is free to attend, but reserving a spot in advance is important.
