Internet Register Ireland At It Again

Hopefully people won’t be duped by this scam again, but the letters are doing the rounds.

We’ve mentioned them in the past, but they haven’t gone away.

If you get one of these letters please bin it!

One arrived at my door in the office last week. Couldn’t believe it.

    I get them every year!

I have been getting these for the last 4/5 years. Unfortunately, a staff member signed one about 4 years ago and we have been pestered with telephone calls, threatening letters saying all their calls were being monitored and we would have to pay.
Last call from them was about 1 year ago and I told the caller we were seeking legal advice.
Today I received 4 of them for our 4 registered domain names.
I’ve notified accounts, and binned the letters

As soon as I saw the word “Professionnal” in the header it was crumpled into a ball and binned quicker than you can say the words “german scam artists”. They could at least spellcheck their literature.

Joe Duffy is on the case.

I signed the stupid thing in November 2006. They have got the debt collectors after me. Any advice.

You may want to speak to your solicitor.
