EU Domains – Keeping the Price Low

We’re going to maintain the price of .eu registrations and transfers @ 5 euro for the foreseeable future ie. we’ve no intention of upping the price.
We are hoping that Eurid (the entity that is in charge of .eu namespace) will change some of its procedures and policies with regard to renewals, as the present regime does not benefit either registrars or registrants.

    Hi Michele,
If you’re having specific issues with the .EU renewal system, please let me know about them. As you may know, EURid has been operating a “Requirements Panel” (basically a forum where registrars can tell the registry about the problems they’re having and what they’d like done about them). I am a member of that panel so I would be happy to hand EURid personnel a detailed explanation of the problems you mention.

Their current system is an absolute nightmare to deal with and is costing us and our clients time and money.
If they didn’t put domains into quarantine and force us to pay immediately it wouldn’t be so bad.
