Next Thursday, 17 March, is St Patrick’s Day and a public holiday in Ireland. For 2022, Ireland will be getting an ‘extra’ bank holiday on Friday 18 March as well as a Day of Remembrance and Recognition. This creates a de facto four-day weekend.

The following working arrangements will be in place at Blacknight:

Support will be available by email, and live chat from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday and Friday. Telephone service will be provided for support, accounts, and sales from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The usual on-call support will be available to colocation and dedicated server customers.

Online domain sales will be unaffected, with the exception of IE domains, which require manual confirmation by the .IE Registry, who will be closed for the public holiday and the weekend.

Normal weekend operation hours will be in effect for Saturday and Sunday.

Normal office hours will resume on Monday 21 March.

The addition of an extra bank holiday in Ireland is to recognize the efforts of the general public, volunteers and all workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in remembrance of people who lost their lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir, rath agus sláinte. Happy St Patrick’s Day, health and prosperity, to all our customers and friends.
