Verisign have released their quarterly “brief” on the state of the domain name industry and have produced a very interesting graphic to accompany it.
The number of domain names registered is growing and no, we aren’t going to “run out” of them:
Bearing in mind that the report covers Q4 of 2013 it does not take into account new TLDs. The Q4 2014 report, which we’ll need to wait about a year for, could be quite different. (Though how different is another matter entirely .. )
