At Blacknight, we love SMEs. So we sponsored the SME Awards (Michele says it was a no-brainer!) Then we thought: let’s put them on TV!
So while all the fun was going on; Rick O’Shea was giving out sweets; plenty of food and drink etc; I set up studio in the corner and got the finalists to come and tell me their stories.
It was great! You can hear the noise in the background: that’s the sound of hard-working people having fun!
We talked to almost all the winners – and many more besides – and we’re going to share the interviews here on the Blacknight blog over the next few days.
We start with Philip from Brú Brewery, who scooped three awards, plus the Grand Prix! Their secret? “Hard work and dedication”, he says, “and a love of beer!” It’s not for wine drinkers, he says!
