Blacknight Takes the Lead as Headline Sponsor for the 21st Graiguenamanagh Town of Books Festival

At Blacknight, we’re not just about domains and hosting – we’re also passionate about stories, knowledge, and the magic that happens when you open a good book. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’re a headline sponsor of the 21st annual Graiguenamanagh Town of Books Festival, taking place this weekend from August 23rd to 25th, 2024!

Imagine a picturesque riverside town in County Kilkenny transformed into a book lover’s paradise. That’s exactly what happens when Graiguenamanagh hosts this internationally renowned festival. For three days, every nook and cranny of this medieval gem becomes a treasure trove of literature, with over 25 independent booksellers showcasing their wares.

Here’s why we at Blacknight are so excited about this festival:

  1. Books, Books, and More Books: From new releases to antiquarian finds, children’s books to specialist titles – there’s something for every reader. It’s like the internet of books, but in real life!
  2. A Festival That’s More Than Just Books: This year’s extended programme includes an artisan food and craft fair at the Abbey Hall. Because what goes better with a good book than delicious snacks?
  3. Family-Friendly Fun: The compact size of Graiguenamanagh means families can easily explore the entire festival on foot. It’s safe, it’s comfortable, and it’s full of discoveries waiting to happen.
  4. It’s Free! All events are free to attend, though some may require booking. Check their Facebook page for details: www.facebook.com/IrelandsBooktown
  5. Exciting Events: The programme is packed with activities for all ages. Here are some highlights:
  • Outdoor Cinema nights on Friday and Saturday (because books and movies are besties)
  • Children’s Workshop at the Graiguenamanagh Library on Saturday (nurturing the next generation of bookworms)
  • Plein Air Painting & Exhibition on Sunday (because sometimes words paint pictures too)
  • Talk by Éanna Ní Lamhna on Sunday (because learning never stops)
  • Poetry by the Barrow on Sunday afternoon (combining the beauty of words with the beauty of nature)

At Blacknight, we believe in the power of words – whether they’re in a book or on a website. We’re proud to support an event that celebrates literature, community, and the joy of discovery.

So, mark your calendars for August 23rd to 25th, and join us in Graiguenamanagh for a weekend of literary delights. Who knows? You might just find us there, adding to our office library or debating the merits of physical books vs. e-books (spoiler: we love both, just like we love both domains and websites).

See you at the festival, book lovers!
