There were a couple of interesting articles in this month’s edition of Computers in Business on websites and how people should set them up, how much they should spend etc., :

The articles, which include a few quotes from me and other people in the Irish internet industry, have a couple of very simple messages.

A website can be an excellent investment, but you need to make it work for you and your clients.

If people can’t find the information they are looking for quickly and easily they won’t hang around – they’ll go somewhere else to get it.

And I am more than happy to stand over my comment on Flash intros. They are a total waste of time!
