We’ve published a lot of media this week relating to the launch of Blacknight’s new data centre, but one item has attracted a good deal of attention from the hard core technologists. Originally posted on Technology.ie, this video stars CTO Paul Kelly as he takes us on a walk through Phase 1 of Blacknight’s new facilities. There are plenty of TLAs, blinky lights and redundancy as he goes into detail on the power, comms, and fire suppression systems, and there’s a practical (and loud!) demonstration of failover in the cooling system.
