Blacknight Announces Spiders Sponsorship: Podcast with Dublin Tech Summit CEO

On today’s podcast, we’re delighted to announce that Blacknight will be a sponsor of The Spiders – Ireland’s longest established web awards – which has gone through numerous incarnations over the years. It’s now part of a stable of events being developed under the umbrella of Dublin Tech Summit. William Brightling is the CEO of Dublin Tech Summit and the Spiders Awards and he joins us on the show to explain how it all fits together.

Dublin Tech Summit is a relatively young event. For the past two years it has played host to 10,000 attendees at the Convention Centre Dublin. Next year the plan is to move to the RDS, which is already the venue for its two sister events: The Women in Tech Awards and The Spiders.

The Spiders cover 17 categories in total. Blacknight is the sponsor of the category for ‘Best in Content Creation for Digital Media’. The category is open to business and agencies. It recognises ‘best-in-class’ content created for digital media which may include (but is not limited to) blogs and video. Entries are open to content that shows a clear benefit to the organisation and its audience, this may include content created for a marketing/commercial purpose or content created to provide unique value to the audience.

Entries will be judged on criteria including: Content Creation Strategy; Tactics and Implementation; Distribution; and Metrics. Entrants will show clear evidence that the content creation followed a robust methodology supported by research and insights.

The Awards Ceremony takes place on November 29th in the RDS, Dublin, and it’s sure to offer a great opportunity for networking. Nominations are open now, and the full rules and criteria for all categories are available at spidersxtech.com. The closing date for entries is September 26th.
