Short IE Domains Update

IEDR-GA-Changing

We have been informed by IEDR that the launch of “General Availability” or “GA” for “short” IE domain names has been delayed.

IEDR have not provided a clear date when GA will open, though they are currently indicating “mid-May”.

This morning the auctions for contested applications from the landrush phase opened. These auctions will run for a minimum of 10 days, though they could take longer to fully complete, as a bid in the last 24 hours of an auction will extend the auction by a further 24 hours.

We are currently working with IEDR in order to ensure that pre-orders on the remaining strings are processed smoothly.

We will update you once we know more.
