The .eu Web Awards are back! The yearly awards, sponsored by EURid, celebrate the best .eu, .ею or .ευ websites. Nominations have opened and this time they’re changing the format slightly. This is a great opportunity for Blacknight clients!
So, what are the .eu Web Awards?
The .eu Web Awards are an online competition, launched in 2014 and designed to acknowledge the best websites, using the .eu, .ею or .ευ extensions. Over the years it has enhanced the visibility of hundreds of beautiful, innovative, and impactful websites using the .eu, .ею or .ευ domain extensions.
The prize for the awards is a marketing campaign for a budget of €5,000, organised together with a EURid appointed marketing agency. It’s a great opportunity to highlight the great and innovative uses of these extensions and to help them grow and build their awareness. You also win an education package designed to help you improve your website management.

The ninth edition of the .eu Web Awards nomination and voting period kicks off today and will run until 17 August 2022. Any eligible person under the Web Awards rules can nominate their own or their favourite .eu, .ею, or .ευ website. Once entered, nominees and their fans should campaign to get as many votes as possible via webawards.eurid.eu. Voting is as simple as a click of a button!
The three finalists per six categories will be announced on 1 September and will be invited – together with you and your registrar – to the exclusive .eu Academy Masterclasses and Web Awards ceremony, where the winners will be announced (travel and hotel included).
The 2022 .eu Web Awards ceremony and the .eu Academy Masterclasses will take place on 17 November in the Van der Valk Hotel, Mechelen, Belgium.
