We’ve been inundated with queries about magento over the last few months. Today we’ve rolled out some php5 upgrades to all linux shared hosting machines so we can now support Magento. Please note that this only applies to our minimus, medius and maximus (linux) plans.
Also this upgrade now supports imap and imaps so you SugarCRM users can get cracking and start using those e-mail features that are built into Sugar.

Few questions though maybe I should take it to the forums.
Do ye have Xcache / APC / eAccelerator installed on the servers ?
I assume its not possible to tweak the memory on the mysql server (it being shared hosting and all)
Will .htaccess allow you to alter php settings ? (max upload / memory / execution time)
Do ye have a demo install setup ?
Still on the old hosting system and with a VPS hence the questions

I’ll let our CTO, Paul, deal with the queries about caching etc.,
As it’s shared hosting you do not have access to MySQL’s settings.
Paul had a demo install setup on one of his domains and if it’s still there I’m sure he’d be only too happy to provide the URL

Thanks … I’m purely interested in seeing response times as Magento isn’t really supported by that many shared hosting plans for the reason that its an extreme beast in terms of SQL queries even with caching turned on its doing a lot of queries for every page hit ( 60 – 100 )
So I’d love to see a shared hosting demo of it. (Or I may just bang it on myself later on)
James
Paul has contacted you directly I believe
