We’re off to Tralee on Wednesday and Thursday this week, as a sponsor of The Ecommerce Summit. Our CEO Michele Neylon will speak at the event on Thursday morning.
The Ecommerce Summit is the brainchild of a group of ecommerce experts in the South-West, with a wide range of experience in multinational and startup businesses. They’ve come together with the goal of making the term ecommerce itself obsolete: “it should be viewed as the application of technology to business strategy”. They’ve identified a requirement for education and skills transfer for businesses and students, especially outside Dublin, and they aim to decentralise ecommerce expertise to the regions.
The two-day programme features local names including Jim Garvey of Garvey Group, Chris Byrne of SensorPro and broadcaster and musician Philip King.
They will be joined by representatives of Facebook, eBay, Automattic, Teamwork.com, Lifestyle Sports, Studio49, Magico and Blacknight.
The Blacknight Video Team will also be on site to capture some of the stories from the speakers and participants at the event.
