Get Personal With .Me
Get Personal With .Me

When I first went online in the 1990s the web was new and fresh. It was also a bit inaccessible (it was also quite ugly, but I digress… ) Sure, you could browse the websites that were out there,  but they were mostly academic or fairly dry corporate affairs.

Fast forward to 2010 and every man (or woman) and their dog has probably got some little slice of the web for themselves.

It could be a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a blog or something else…. but even if you don’t have any of those things now there’s very little to stop you from getting them.

So what’s this all got to do with us?

Well, if you’ve been following our online antics over the last while you’ll probably know that we really love .me. (Note – there’s a “.” in there – I’m not *that* bigheaded – honest!).

As domains go we really think it is the best choice for anyone who wants to get a personal site or simply “brand’ themselves clearly.

So with that in mind we put together GetPersonalWith.Me

We scoured the internet for lists of names, both first names, surnames and nicknames.
So you can now search for YOUR name easily. If it’s not available we’ll try to suggest an alternative.

So if you have a couple of minutes to spare why not check it out.

If you like it, hate it or otherwise have something to say about it please do let us know!

We’d also love to see what people are doing with .me domain names so that we can feature them directly on the site.

Share with a friend!

    hello
    .
after reading this post on TheDomains blog (where I, very often, comment its posts) I’ve thought to propose you an interesting thing
    .
    http://www.thedomains.com/2010/09/17/getpersonalwith-me-lists-avaliable-first-name-me-for-e4-99/
    .
but I’ve fear that an email could be not taken seriously or be mistaken for a spam mail or (worse) as one of the numerous Web scams
    .
so, how and where I must send my mail, to be sure that you’ll read, evaluate and take a look at my proposal and send me an answer?
    .
    best regards

It’s great to have a website for yourself, but what about the hosting? Is there a lot of downtime? And is the domain .me valuable for Google?
    Greetings,
    Mark

You can use any hosting you wish with a .me domain name. We obviously prefer to see people using our services, but you don’t have to.
Google treats a .me like a .com, so you can choose which country you want to target via the Google Webmaster Tools
    Regards
    Michele
