We’re Off To TRAFFIC Milan (As Long As We Can Get There!)

traffic cctlds Milan

Next week I’m hoping to be in Milan, Italy, for TRAFFIC ccTLDs. (I’m still not 100% confident that flights will be running .. )

The event, which runs over 3 days, is aimed at domain investors and people interested in finding out more about the ccTLD domain world.

While there are only about 20 gTLDs such as .com, .net, .org, .mobi there are over 200 country code domains such as .fr, .nl, .ie, .me etc., And since variety is the spice of life, each and every country can set its own rules and regulations. So while it’s incredibly easy to register a co.uk domain or a .me domain, it’s a lot more complicated to register a .ie domain name.

I’ve been looking forward to this event for quite some time and was absolutely delighted when I was invited onto one of the panesl. I’ll be on a panel Wednesday morning to talk about the UK’s ccTLD. On the same panel will be Julien Naillet (AFNIC) and Sergi Moreu (Ubilibet) talking about the French and Spanish markets.

If you’re heading to the event be sure to say “hi”!
