Our internal development team have been working on a new shopping experience for both new and existing clients for quite some time. Over the past couple of months we’ve been testing it extensively and hopefully we’ve ironed out most of the bugs.

If you’re an existing client and want to buy new products or services the links to upgrades etc., in your control panel will now bring you to this new online store. We think it’s a big improvement for everyone, but would really appreciate your feedback.

So how does it work?

If you’re an existing client you’ll immediately be able to access the new store directly from within your control panel.

When you login to your control panel you’ll see an option to buy more services or upgrade existing ones:

If you click on any of the links you’ll be taken to the new store:

All our products and services are available to buy directly and easily from the new store and integrate with your existing account. The new store is intended to be easier to use and bring a more “modern” experience to our clients and we hope we’ve managed to do that. (It’ll also work on mobile properly!)

So, for example, if you want to register a new domain you’ll see a few new options.

As you’re already logged in to your account the system will know about your existing domain contacts and other things, so you can easily choose which contact to associate with a new domain registration.

You’ll also see that we’ve simplified the .ie domain registration process quite a bit in line with changes on the IEDR side and to make it more intuitive overall

Most of the new options should be fairly self-explanatory, but if they aren’t please do let us know.

If you don’t have an account with us already then you can just go straight to the new shopfront at blacknight.market. You should be able to get signed up quite quickly and easily 🙂

NB: We haven’t switched our entire site over to the new store yet, but plan to do so soon. If you are on our main site you’ll still end up placing orders via the legacy system for now – we know and this is 100% intentional. We hope to make the full switch in the next couple of weeks once we’ve had a chance to see if there are any bugs we missed.
