As per every year, we’ll have a ‘cooldown’ period followed by a Network Operations Freeze for Christmas and New Year. Your services will continue to work, but if you plan on putting in an order or need some configuration, you may want to wait until the New Year.
During the cooldown, we will try to fulfill any outstanding orders, however we may not be able to guarantee equipment delivery from suppliers due to the Christmas period logistics delays. This cooldown will begin on the 8th of December at the close of the business day and will run until the Network Operations Freeze.
The Network Operations Freeze will begin on the 15th of December 2023 at 5pm and will continue until the 2nd of January 2024 at 8am. During this time, only emergency maintenance will be permitted on the Blacknight network. No services requiring the installation or configuration of circuits, VLANs (Virtual LANs), or network equipment will be undertaken. Also, no works that involve any Blacknight services should be scheduled to take place. For broadband services, our partners will also be engaged in a freeze period during this time. So, we can’t guarantee any delivery of new services until the New Year.
If you experience an emergency outage, we will have engineers on call throughout the Christmas period.
