Talking Mobile

While I was at the ICANN meeting in Seoul, South Korea, Pinkard Brand from DotMobi did a short video interview with me about .mobi and the mobile web:

You’ll have to excuse the audio quality towards the end – there’s a motorbike or something which is a bit distracting!

If you haven’t already got your mobile web address then you should grab one now! (We’re having a sale on them!)

Thanks for the post Michele. Those FLIP HD cams pick up the external noise for sure. Definitely sounds louder than what I recall hearing when speaking with you. It’s something to take into account the next time we do something like this. Should actually learn from TV News production days and actually put an isolated mic on you.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

I think it came out pretty well overall, but a couple of people commented to me about the motorbike 🙂

The Panasonic SD9 or SD10 fits in the palm of your hand and has a telescopic mic setting so you only get sound from wherever you’re pointing, great for keeping background noise to a minimum.

Nice to know. How much do they retail for?
I’ve got a full size video camera, but was thinking of getting a smaller, more portable one.

Actually they just updated it,its the SD10 now.(€380+VAT)
No tape or Hard drive just stick in an SDHC card and off you go. A 16GB card will get you 2 hrs at the highest HD quality.
Make sure the card is class 6 or above though.
Very neat little machine. No moving parts to go wrong and battery life is decent.
