The Belgian domain name registry operator DNS Belgium recently announced changes to their terms and conditions.
These changes are not that dramatic and the registry will be contacting all impacted registrants directly.
If you are the registrant of a .be domain name you can review the updated terms, the old terms and the main changes here.
What’s changed?
The changes fall under four main categories:
- The registry can change their terms and conditions from time to time. These changes are unilateral and are binding on all registrants
- The registry has simplified some of the language in the terms and conditions so that they’re easier to read and understand.
- Making explicit in the terms what the registry was already doing in reality, such as being subject to and following Belgian law and Belgian court decisions.
- Whois verification procedures
